I just ordered a Top Flite Contender kit and expect to start in the next week or so, but I have a question about the flap set-up. I currently own a 4 channel radio, and do not expect to get another radio any time in the near future. My question is, can I build the plane with the flaps and just not use them until I get my next radio? Should I do the build without and is it easy to add them later?

If I can build with them, do I connect the servo, etc or somehow "lock" the flap in place until I get a different radio?

Any other tips, tricks, etc for the build are appreciated also.
