Default RE: G2300 low speed needle adjustment

Yes, this engine is completely exposed on the nose of the F90. I won't be putting the cowl back on with this engine. I'll tweak it some more and try the fuel line test as you suggest. The most important thing to me is to not go lean at low throttle settings. The engine is still very new and a reliable low idle isn't as important right now. I'm just glad that I didn't have to install a pump to get good fuel pressure. I thought I had a problem with fuel draw, but I guess it was just the low needle. I find it strange that I have never heard of anyone adjusting a carb in the manner I described. Had I known about it, I would have done it that way from the start. Does that method work on all carbs and engines? I have a K&B 61 mounted inverted with a perry carb that has been giving me trouble. When it was upright, it was fine, but now it seems I need to really richen it on the ground because it leans out in flight. I'll try adjusting it at 1/4 throttle and see what it does next time I fly.
