RE: G2300 low speed needle adjustment
I have pinched both exhaust tubes closed to equal the area of the stock muffler. I have good fuel pressure, and respectable performance. Top end power is not a concern because the airframe is nicely overpowered. My comments originally had to do with the method for setting the low needle. I feel this method is somewhat different than what we are used to, but if it works, I'm happy.
I think the carb on this engine is actually a very nice piece. No, it's not OS quality, but I didn't pay their price for it either. The engine sounds sweet in the air with the 18-8 prop, and that large disc makes it stop when you pull the throttle back. I actually need to add power to drive to the runway. It really makes flying the Funtana more fun.
