Default RE: Beginner KITS

Hi I agree 100% with build your own trainer from a kit. I built mine and it was the Sig Kadet LT40. I cant even begin to explain how great the feeling was in just seeing what you built fly. And then then double that feeling when you get to fly it !! I think you learn safe with a instructor and your plane will be around for a long time.
I built mine 6 yrs ago and yep I still have it and I still get a thrill flying. Maybe its because of all the memories attached to it. Also building your own makes it your own ! It wont look like every other ARF out there. I let my at the time 5 yr old daughter pick out the color for the covering. How many Sig Kadet LT40s are out there wearing Barney Purple LOL but mine is. You build AFRs its great fun but it doesnt have that little twist of you built into it. Today 90% of mine are still kit builds and also an occcasional ARF. But I know there is a differance when I maiden my kit verses and ARF.
