At the very least, when the kit comes in (and the ARF too) show them to your wife and explain where they will be and how to handle them in the future (or how to avoid them). Keep the guilt trip to a minimum, she should appreciate that. Heck, things happen and you didn't tell her where it was so it was partly your fault anyway. []
