Default RE: 130 Flaps

Hey all,

I have been reviewing this post, and MAN, is it long. haha Let me introduce my self....

I have been considering building the c-130 for a year or so, Ive had Skip Mast plans sitting around and all the foam-sheeting-ect., and NOW, im about ready to start. TF Corsair and umm, Room in the Shop delaying me.

One good thing about building, I am a Sheet Metal Mechanic ON the C130 here at Hill Air Force Base (Civilian). If you have any technical or scale questions, I can definately help all of you out. I can take measurements... but no actual pictures without proper authority, (So you will have to request what you need and I will take pictures of what I can) due to security reasons. We do have a retired Herc here at the Museum, if you get desperate...

Currently in the hangar (Holds 8 C130) we have a E, H and Navy Model Birds. Anyway, if you need anything, let me know.

Gunny,

Question on the full size? Did the inner flaps go down further than the outboard flaps?
Yes they do, I can have 1:1 scale measurement for you. there is also a piece of skin that is attached on the outboard flap at the joint, keeping the "gap" from letting air through. What plans are you working from? So many posts, I may have missed that, although it does look like Skips.

thanks for letting me join in,

Jon McB
