Hey Bob, what rock have you been living under? You may not like 3D, but it's obvious that it is here to stay. Some of the biggest advances electronic, aerodynamic, and powerplant design have come, either directly or indirectly, from 3D flying. For example, I didn't see the warbird guys pushing for better battery systems and better motors for electrics. On the other hand, I have never seen a 3D airplane with the level of scale detailing that a warbird has. This hobby has room for all aspects of flying. Besides, 3D has brought some new blood into the hobby. Anything that passes on the hobby to younger generations is a good thing, IMHO. There might be some growing pains, but so long as everyone keeps a cool and objective mindset, everything will be OK.
