Default RE: I am starting to hate 3d flying

Geez, I'm sure glad we have a small club and most of us are happy flying 3D rather than burning circles in the sky following the same old circuit.

Every now and then we visit another club or have so many fliers visiting us that we have to fly circuits and, to be honest, it's so boring that it's hardly worth starting up your engine.

Don't get me wrong, I've got a 90-sized P51 Mustang and a F3A ship, and a couple of times a year I dust them off and fire them up -- but it only takes a few flights before I realise just how little fun I get from them compared to an excellen 3D ship (ie: a good old profile).

If I ever had to fly at a field where everyone goes around and around and around all day, I think I'd give the hobby up and start something more exciting -- like growing bansai trees :-)

IMAC may teach precision flying, scale may teach good building and finishing skills -- but 3D is just plain *fun* -- and that's what a hobby should be.
