Default RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Thats the most expensive metal head I've ever seen for the df36. it's probably the best too ... lots of ball bearings. But it's time you face this one important reality. SOMETHING on this heli will break or bend almost everytime you hit the blades on something. You're spinning those things at ~3000rpm ... if you stop them that fast something will break. Do you want it to be a $6 blade holder ... or a $16 blade holder? I'd recommend you get a new steel main shaft(either one from the shogun ... it's an upgrade part for $7 ... or one from helihobby for $20) ... and a steel spindle shaft(between the blade holders ... you can get trex parts in a 4 pack for $6 or buy nice ones for $10 each at helihobby.

Those bend the most and the easiest so maybe an upgrade is worth it. Get cheap blades because you will break them. get extra tail blade holders(stock for cheap) because you will break those. Other than that ... I'm not sure if a new head is worth it.

I bought an all metal head(no bearings) for $65 on ebay including a new main shaft ... maybe that's worth it. but I wouldn't get a $140 head for a helicopter that will most likely still run into a fence, chair or building in it's near future.
