Default Freebe engines

I was at the flying field today. The guy that we lease the field from came around on his four wheeler. He had a Poulan 42cc saw on the front rack. I was telling him how the chainsaw would make a good model airplane engine.

So he invited me down to his barn where he gave me a Homelite 25, a McCulloch 28, and a Ryobi 31. They were all short shaft engines. They all felt good, bearing and compression wise. I had recently found a McCulloch 32 short shaft sticking out of a trash can on the side of the road. I've been whacking weeds with it.

Enjoy,

Jim
