A friend of mine use to have the exact same setup--minus the smoke. Right down to the brison 3.2. The plane weighed about 16.5 lbs ready to fly, and the other 1/5 pounds could be attributed to your smoke system. I talk about it in the past tense, because he no longer owns it--my brother does. And he, too, bought the brison 3.2 to go on it, and we are currently getting it ready to fly again. He is putting smoke in it, and we haven't weighed it yet, but I bet it's around 18 lbs. We've ran a 20 X 10 on the engine, but currently have a wooden 22 X 8 ready to go on it. You won't have any problems at all with that engine. You've got over 26 lbs of thrust up front--18 lbs will not be a problem. As far as how it flies--I've seen it fly when my friend owned it. At 16.5 lbs, it was a rocket. at 18 lbs, it will still be very capable! Remmeber to keep your speed up on landings--a few clicks of throttle until just over the runway. If it dies on you, just point the nose down and glide her in--don't panic. It really isn't that hard to fly. It flies about like the ultimate planes, but better. It really is rock steady in the air. Make sure it's balanced right! And, keep the throttle on landing. Those are the only bits of advice you really need. With the 3.2 up front, takeoffs will be uneventful. Just don't firewall it right off the start, or you'll be in the rough before you know it!
