RE: help adj carb
I wouldn't do it that way running it lean is never a good idea. Set your high speed needle about 3 1/2 turns out from tight and your low speed flush with the metal part of the arm. Set your high needle first by doing high speed runs and leaning it out very slowly. Run it about a minute with each setting so it can take effect. Screw it in 1/8th of a turn at a time, making sure you have good smoke coming out of the exhaust. Once you get to a point it doesn't get any faster back it out 1/8th of a turn, and it will be set. Next set the low speed needle. lean it out very slightly. When I did mine I didn't even turn it 1/8th a turn at a time. let it sit then punch the gas and see how fast it takes off. If it is sluggish then it is too rich, if it revs high but doesn't have power then it's too lean. make sure you do some high speed passes in between settings to give them time to set in, and clear excess fuel out of the carb.
