RE: Batteries??Batteries??Batteries??
Matched:Cella are cycles multiple times and the numbers from the cycles are recorded and taged on the cell.Good cells are grouped with other good cells and bad cell are grouped with other bad cells.Might give you some more power but for the money you spend on it its NOT worth IMHO.
Zapping:A cell has a large amount currant is jolted in to it to lower the internals resistaance and rasie the voltage. Most cell will have this done these days.(You want this)
Your triton is fine. You can get away with as few as 1.But its not going to last very long.I would recomend getting 3 race packs. That is if your track runs 2 heats and a main. Then get some cheap shark batts for practice or something like that.Mayby like two. What your going to want to do it charge all your pack the same day before you go racing. When you get ready to use a pack instead of wating 45 min for it to charge. You simply let it re-peak to bring the voltage back up from sitting. Should take around 10-15 min.Theres other ways to do it but thats whats easyiest for newer peaople.Usally there spending most their time fixing broken stuff they dont have time to fiddle faddle with batts. If you have time use the following method:
When you get to the track.First thing you wana do is claim your pit spot. Now setup your charger and put a practice batt on the charger.Finish setting up your pit.(SIDE NOTE)A nice clean and organized pit area is your best friend next to good tools.Ok now by the time you got your truck ready and all your stuff settled your first cheapy batt should be done, run it.BUT before you hot the track put you other one on the charge. Now when you get back, get your truck cleaned up and pull the batt and set asisde. Now your secon batt should be done soon. When it is you can run it now, or wait awhile.Your choice. Now get your first pack hooked up and ready.you want to start it alteast 30 min before racing starts just incase your class is the first heat.OK say your the 3rd fourth heat.It will work out perfect and you batt will still have its kick to it and be ready to go.Now say your in the 9th heat.Let it finish. Now at the beggining of the heat before your re-peak it real quik.shouldnt take but a few min.Now it should finish in time for you to thow it in and and get your car on the track and do your thing. Now after turn marshalling.....discharge on your trition to .9 a cell or on that 5.4 volts.put tbattery away and dont touch it again until you next race day.Now get your truck dealed with and what not.Now throw you next heat pack on.It should finish in perfect time for you next race.Repeat what you did last time without the re-peak unless theres a loooong wait until your heat. That should pretty much do it.
Now im not going to go onto EQing cuase your new and I assume your not going to get a EQer any time soon.
Thats about all I can give you.If you dont dont take my advise its ok.Just know I wont steer you wrong.....
Good luck!
