I don't know what is best, but I do Know of some nice 6/7 Ch Computer Radios available for around $250. The Futaba 6EXA, The JR6102, The HiTech Eclipse 7 are all right around this price range & are all very nice Radios in my opinion. JR also has their new Sport line out as well that is even less expensive! The JR Sport 600 is a 6 Ch Computer Radio with 10 model memory & is only $159 for the complete system. It looks like a really good value for the money. I paid $249 for my JR6102, & I'm not sure that it has a whole lot more features than the Sport 600 for $100 less. The two JRs I mentioned give you the most model memory @ 10 each. The Futaba has 6 & the HiTech Eclipse 7 has 7 model memory.(I think) Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. You can look at the Futaba & the HiTech @ Tower Hobbies, & the JRs @ Horizon Hobbies.

You might wanna get with your instructor first & see what kind of radio he uses & get one that is compatable with his for the buddy-box. Good luck in your decision.
