I remember reading that as you approach the stall torque of a servo the current drain increases a lot. If you do this often, remember to check your batteries. This does not just apply to control surfaces, make sure that throttle servo is not jammed against throttle movement limits.

I would error on the safe side if the plane can handle the weight of a larger servo.
