Check your insurance as most home owners type only cover a minimum amount. I think mine is $1000 of personal liability. One of my flying buddies hit a roof and his home owners paid $750 to fix it. Above those amounts, AMA will cover you as long as you are flying according to the safety code. The safety code is not hard to follow. AT $58 a year, it is the best money you can spend.

I think the liability portion of most HO policys is $100K. Additional increments of $100K are available at what seems to me a reasonable cost; IIRC, raising mine to $300K to meet the minimum required by my PUP (which pays in excess of HO, et al) provider cost about $30/yr. Surprised me how little the personal liability portion of an HO policy costs - typically well under 10% of the total.
