Default RE: Metal Gear Grease

Stang951:

Due to the high rpms, most greases will get spun off. If you're opening it to check, and and most of the grease is in those splatter-covers is clean, just re-apply it.

The various ones mentioned over on the ArmorHut:

- one called LUBRIPLATE, used on car window roller mechanisms (I've gotten stuff from window-roller gears on me, that stuff is ~gummy~... but good lube)

- another was a wax lube used on a mountain bike. Ask a bike shop for 'chain wax' ; only down side is the gears have to be well-cleaned ~before~ you apply it.

- the final one was something called " Labelle 106 with teflon " found in a model train shop.

I'll probably go looking for the bike wax, as there are a lot around here (town is littered with bike paths!)
