i'd say get the power converter. they are cheap and will be useful for a lot of things. i'v never had a problem startibng my storm in the cold though. i usually keep it inside until i wanna drive. then when i take it out the engine isn't as cold as it is inside. if you leave it in your truck for a while the need for the heat gun will increase.
