I have cut out the large block for the duct part of the cowling. Kinda dreading that. Any hints on the carving?
It's really not bad at all. Use a small block plane--not a hobby razor plane. Then use course (60 grit or so) sandpaper then sand with 100 grit. I did mine this way and it took me less than twenty minutes.
