Default RE: GP Easy Sport or SIG 4 Star for first Low wing ?

BOth planes fly very well and have a very wide speed range with a 46 motor. The major difference that I have seen between the 4* and the Easy Sport is the landing speed. The Easy Sport is easy to land and lands at a reasonable speed. The 4* has to be slowed down until it almost stops moving in order to get it to come down. This makes it more tricky to land in windy conditions. The Easy Sport has a more positive landing approach and will come in at a bit faster landing speed than your trainer. This makes the plane a better choice if your next plane is going to be a warbird as it gets you used to faster landing speeds. Nothing lands slower than a 4*, nature of the beast! You might also want to check out the Sig Mid Star. Same price as the Easy Sport and is also a Midwing. Has the same wide speed range as the other 2 planes(mabe more so) and has a larger easier to see wing. Lands similiar to the Easy Sport and is very controlable in wind or calm. If you do go for the Easy Sport I would make it a tail dragger. The tricycle gear on the Easy Sport is too springy and make the plane bounce down the runway on landing! [8D]
