Default RE: A Bad Day Gets Worse

ORIGINALWhen flying full scale, and doing my pre-flights, I always think of this, and never do it with others walking around with me. I need to concentrate on the task at hand. Oversights could cost me more than some balsa.
You know. and that is where I should have known better... When I am not 'burning electrons' I am usually burning Jet A at a 'minor airline' lol. I don't know how many times I have asked my First Officers if they have checked x, y, or z... At work when there are paying passengers behind me I am on top of my game... but today, just once I wasn't while I was flying/visiting with good friends, and it bit me. It won't happen again for me, I just hope that it sinks in to somebody else to always check. I'm not new at this, been flying models for over 20 years (though you can obviously not tell that by today's results! lol) and I can still make one of the dumbest mistakes. Yes, things like this do happen to us all at times, doesn't make it any easier though.

At least the Steelers won! the day wasn't a total loss!!! lol

Derek, thanks for your kind words. It is hard, but it's something we have all gone through as modelers. Even when i did something completely stupid... nobody at the field called me on it... everybody just said, "hey, we have all been there, sorry man... "

I'll be at your contest in April at the very least... congrats on the election!
