I don't think a plane of this turbine class would end up more expensive than a bigger one.
Eventhough the price of the turbine is the same (even a little more) than the next bigger size,
the price of the electronic gear is much smaller.
My Savex L39 ended up around 3300 Euros (receiver and transmitter not included).
I'm now working on the F16 from the same manufacturer.
My expenses for this bird are in the same range.
What I like in these small jets is that you can use cheap standard servos.
Keep in mind that the fan equivalent for the mw44 is a 46 to 90 glow class engine...
This corsair II sure looks good, and I too feel very tempted. May be like you, I'll wait to see the final prices before cominting.
I think the only extra money that it will cost will be for the nice scale oleos.
It is also thrue that you guys in the US have to fit brakes on jets... it is not mandatory here in europe.
I don't think it is necessary on a 5kg bird, and it keeps the bill and the wing loading down.
