Default RE: weedie and cheap plane

Having recently lost my Ultra Lite Stick 120, I did a somewhat extensive search to find another good "knock around" and cheap, plane. I decided on the Great Planes Giant Big Stick, and a Ryobi would work very well on that plane. The price through Tower Hobbies is $249.00, but they always have 20 to 30 dollar discounts, and shipping is only $7.00. So for $226.00, I got a complete ARF plane very suitable for a gas conversion engine, that flies well, is easy to assemble etc., and includes everything from the gas tank to the wheels and everything!

If you start adding up costs like materials, glue, wheels, tires, gas tank, covering, paint, and everything necessary to throw a plane together, $226.00 for a large scale plane starts looking like a great deal!! Besides that, there is very little labor involved, and you're out flying!

Just my thoughts,
