RE: Ducty 20!
The A-7 was the best flyer out of all the Toki planes, the most fun. Not fast, it kind of seemed to hit an aerodynamic wall about about 60mph, but fun and steady and reliable. Highly recommended.
The weight, it's funny how it adds up...the landing gear adds about six ounces, minimum, but what else are you going to do? You don't want to risk hand- or bungee- launching it. My F-35 came out at just under four pounds, if I remember right, but I had PLANNED, just like you, to be lighter, but the weight just seems to add up! Still flies fine at that weight, much less drag than most other Toki planes, considerably faster than most of the others. My friend Joe Beshar did a Shrike with a takeoff dolly and the Toki stuck on top, that thing went like stink, a good 90mph, if not more, but it don't look like a real plane, and that's cheating...
Consider a takeoff dolly, it's actually a decent solution if you engineer it right.
