I used HS645s on all but the rudder. Used a 5645 on the rudder. Replace the CA hinges with Robart hinge points. I use Carbon Fiber control rods. I balaced mine on the purple stripe of the wing, which is the rear of what they recommend. I'm running a Brison 3.2 (52cc) and its perfect for the plane, no balance issues. The tail surfaces are plenty big enough, the plane 3Ds very well, but one of the trickier to hover. Good luck
