In fact, if you spend $100 and swap out the wing tube and landing gear with carbon and drop the wheel pants, it may weigh even less than the stock plane on the DA 50.

Also, 300-400 rpm may not seem like much of a difference, but remember the power has a cubic relationship to RPM (in thousands). This is the approximate difference between my ZDZ80 on a KS can and my father's and brother's DA100's on the same prop. That extra couple hundred rpm really make a big difference. Their DA100's are on bigger planes too (26# QQ yak and 26# Aeroworks 33% Edge vs my 22# WH Giles.).

At any rate, you will love that Cap. I wish Hangar 9 would bring it back!
