RE: alpha 60 flying help
I have P51 Mustang PTS of Hangar 9, it came with JR XF421EX 5 channel computerised radio, engine is installed which is Evolution .46 2C. It has a Simulator known as cockpit master though, simulator is not much graphic but it has four planes in it including alpha60 which is good high wing trainer. I would suggest you, get this cockpit master sim so that u would have familiarity with sticks, as I have been flying for the last 3 months in the field and on simulator. I switched myself on high winger as I didnt wanna crash my P51 Mustang my wife's precious gift. I thought I would fly byself but its difficult not impossible, U must have an instructor otherwise you would crash your plane, though high wingers are very stable still, sim and real flight are very different. When you take left or right turn always pull your elevator same time while using left or right aileron so that plane won't lose the height. I flew my first solo flight on my high wing trainer like alpha 60, I did good and landed with dead stick. I took help of senior flyers, without any instructor or senior flyer its pretty hard. Im not discouraging you, its my own experience but keep practice on simulator and do go to field with an instructor and Im sure in 2 months depends how many flights u do in a day and how many days you go, you would be able to fly it by yourself. Best of luck, Happy flying no crash.
