I had a Magnum 91 four stroke on mine. It flew it ok but you really needed a long take-off with partial flaps to get into the air. It will take off without flaps, just need a long run or more power. If I were to build another one (dumb-thumbed this one), I would go with a 120 four stroke. I really like the look of the plane. Quality was good.
