You can't use Sullivan Flex tanks... They say right ojn the label "glow fuel only" in bold type.

On the light engine... I measured and I get about 8: from the firewall will place the spinner back about 1"-1 1/8" from the front... should be lookin' pretty scale. With the DA50 that requires 4.25" standoffs. Mine should be on their way and I'll get the engine mounted and take a look see...

Really is a nice built and covered airplane...

I am going to follow Maudib sugestion and feel I can mount two side-by-side 16 oz Dubro or Sullivan Flextanks under the wingtube socket at the CG. I'll use one for gas and the other one for smoke fluid. Will be sending photos as soon as I get these parts installed.

I will like to sugest to those installing very lightweight engines, and if they run into CG issues. The full scale Yak 54 runs the prop shaft from their radial engines WAY forward of the cowl (see photo).
It may not look bad to place the engine 3/4 inch or more further out to balance the plane.
