RE: Midwest Extra 300xs Build
Next, I mixed up some 30 min. epoxy and began spreading on the cloth with the mixing stick. Found one of those fake credit cards everyone gets in the mail and used it to work in the epoxy until the cloth was saturated. I think I found that tip here on RCU in one of the other build threads, works well to smoothe the surface as well as remove the excess epoxy after it has been worked in. After glassing both sides of the wing I removed the painters tape before the epoxy sets. This being the first attempt at glassing, I thought it was failly easy. I did have some sanding to do on the edges on one side becaust the tape was to tight to the edge of the cloth causing a small lip to form.
