My cub also came with the "crushed rudder", I was so anxious to fly that I simply opened up the covering, fixed the break with some CA, and resealed the covoring. It flew just fine but looked a litte bad so I ordered a replacement from my LHS and glued it on. The part numbers are in the front of the manual, which, if you dont have one, is available at horizons website.
