We have had three of these thru our shop and no damage due to shipping. I just assembled mine, and it went perfect. No damage or missing parts. Maybe just some bad luck with some in the shipping process. Did you notice the wood glued inside the cardboard box that was around the motor? Maybe someting like that around the top of the rudder would help a bit.
