I have been messing around trying to make a kind of ramjet that will run without moving. I know this isnt a true ramjet but here it is. I made a system with a electric ducted fan in the front. I then drilled 3 holes just in front of the fans and hooked up 3 fuel intakes connected to a carboraterthen the fuel tank. when i get the fan going it sucks fuel up the lines from suction and i can make the carb works good and i can control excactly how much fuel goes in, i can make it to the point where i put my hand in the back and its soaked, or i can make it an extremely light mist . What i am wondering is how i can get it lit. And will a mist of fuel light up or am i just wasting my time. last questian, what kind of fuel should i use? right now i am just using water to get a reliable constant mist of fluid and i have it right on now.
