I'd go with the one up from the BL-8, which I beleive is the BL-12. I have also heard good things about the castle creations escs. The battery is a toss up between run time and 3d ability. You said you wanted max 3d capability, so I'd go with an electrifly 640 mah 3S li-po, or something equivilent.
