Default RE: having to mothball ACFT

ORIGINAL: buchtes

Are there any special storage conditions when having to mothball
a 28% ACFT and Engine? My Boy has joined the USAF and it will some months before
this combo will be airborne again. The brison has been dryrun, would it be advisable to flood the engine with Marvel Mistery Oil or not? Also is the position of storage the wings in a Wingtote important? What about the LIPO's for the Receiver, I know the Ign. Battery
( 1650 m/AH Nimh) needs to be charged once in a while.
Any other info I need to know?
Here's my understanding.

Gas engines do not rust like glow engines but putting some light oil in it and then wrapping it in a clean rag can't hurt.

Put the wings in bags to protect them, also cover the fuse after cleaning it well to keep dust from accumulating.

Store the batteries fully charged, It's a good idea to recharge after a few months.

Empty the gas tank.
