If using a lipoly or lithion battery, store them fully charged and forget about them for the next 6 to 9 months. Either type should be removed from the plane and stored in a fire proof container for ease of mind.

Cork the exhaust pipes on the muffler, and place a small baggie around the carb inlet if it's easily reached. If it's not don't worry about it.

Try not to rest the plane on the wheels for a long period of time. They'll flat spot and never be round again. Either remove the tires or set the center of the fuse on a foam block or something to keep the wheels off the ground.
