I have a Saito 1.00 on mine as well.
It does fine.
I'll pass on to you an idle tip from Bill Robison over on Club Saito.
To adjust the low speed needle he recommends getting the engine up to temp...mayber after a flight and letting it idle. He then suggest you pull the fuel line off. If it speeds up before it dies it is rich...If it dies immediately it's lean.
