RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36
I'm still debating on the size. For the Sceadu Evo(I'm leaning this way) ... it's the SAME heli. Different motor(+70), different blades(600 instead of 550 price is the same), plus the 50 comes with all push/pull controls to get out all the slop. The 50 doesn't include a pipe(+$90), but the pipe on the 30 kit is supposed to be terribly limiting anyway and should be replaced). The 50 kit also comes with really nice set of maverik carbons all around(which I can put on the shelf for now).
I'm a couple steps up on you it looks like since I have some of that stuff already.

So ... what's the word on servos? Some say at least get the cheap 3151 digitals ... many say get the good ones(no chance of that). What's the advantage to the digital servos really? I think they're smoother and have better positional accuracy(especially when faced with a load on them). Other than that? I have a rockin' fast/strong airtronics servo that I've had awhile($160 servo at the time). For sure ... I can't go more than $35/each on the servos which is a nice fast BB standard servo or a basic digital.
Basically the price breakdown is this:
.30 kit - $300+$150 motor+electronics
.50 kit - $400+$210 motor+$90 pipe+$40 blades
0.30 = $450+ common extras but should upgrade the pipe soon for $80
0.50 = $740+ common extras but includes $130 worth of upgraded blades for the future, plus the better bits in the kit and the stronger motor.
We'll see how it goes.
