RE: Black Magic v2 builder's thread! *Updated*
Hi Troy,
take a look at this....
it's easy to do it in illustrator too, they are both vector drawing programs and illustrator is just as accurate.
Since I have my turtle decks sheeted I have adjusted these widths to match the taper of the turtle decks that Mike is supplying. Granted I am making the fuselage 1 mm wider to allow for the rounding after sanding that Mike is reffering to in that part of this thread. My sheeted TD cores match the profiles on the plans. My method of hand cutting and my jig set up requires accurate widths, without "sanding to fit"... of course you have to be able to slice a hair in half with a #11 blade to really be able to use my method....
since I only tack glued my formers I am going to cut these widths tonight and replace - remeasure, etc....
I am only talking about a few mm here and there, but since I am a nut about stuff like this, all this is going to pay off big, as I am building about 5 fuses right now once I get this perfected.
well, I am having fun.... and my quest goes on.....
so how is your cad drawings coming, can't wait to see them....
