RE: u-can-do 60
Fred,
Sorry to hear that you had so many problems with the Saito 100, I sure hope I don't have that kind of luck! Acro Joe has a YS 110 on his and thinks it is the greatest thing since sliced bread! If you look back on the previous threads (not too sure what the numbers are) there are pictures of the YS installed and how the plumbing is installed. He is a great guy and very helpful! I added a piece of wooden dowel on the main gear block, in between the other two allready installed and epoxied it in, he suggests some tri stock as well but mine already had some installed in it. I believe he has his tank mounted on the CG and has had zero problems. He also had bearing problems with the Saito 100.
I run Omega 15% Castor/Syn in my 100 and use after run oil (Marvel Air Tool) and only have 1/2 gall run thru it so we will see how mine does too! It was a tough debate to go Satio or Os but I was told Saito was a great engine so I decided to give it a try! As for the maiden, I too am very anxious and want to get it in the air bad! Sometimes I believe patience is a good thing and I just better wait for good weather and calm winds. Possibly next week I believe the winds will be down to around 7-8 Mph, more my speed! No doubt I will be telling a story of either how good she flies or that I now own some scrap balsa! Lets just say the better part OK! If I could just get away from work I would be set but Duty calls and I can't complain! I live good and am not going overseas this year so I am a happy camper!
Have fun Fred and thanks for the advise and info!
Chuck
