RE: u-can-do 60
Joe, thanks for the picture. There is a lot on info on this thread, and I am a Y-S and O.S. man mostly. I haven't been too lucky with the Saitos but I know some guys have proposed marriage to them.
I plan to use two Sullivan fillers for the Y-S and fabricated an aluminum bracket bolted to the motor mount of the inverted engine. How did you mount your fillers?
I really hated to take my Y-S off the biplane but have no clue as to how long it will be before Central Hobbies gets the 110 engines in stock. One of our fliers has a 110 mounted in a Showtime but felt he had to go to 30% fuel to get the performance he wanted. The Showtime
looks good in the air and is a well built kit. This guy likes to tail touch from his hovers and is really good at that. He says it took him 3 years, 8 U-Can-Do .46 planes and a two axis gyro. He now can do it without a gyro.
I too, laughed at the pole incident. Similar poles have been used by the slope fliers at Chickies cliff to get their planes out of the trees in the valley but haven't had as good a story or as much mental stress to tell me about.
I don't think I will get seduced by the electrics, but I have a mini Funtana electric ready to fly.
I'm enjoying reading your posts. I don't usually spend much time on the net but I'm having fun here.
Regards, FRED
