Stay away from CEN , every Cen vehicle we sold it came back because it was junk. Cen is fairly new and needs to get their bugs worked out.

Cen has been around for a while and they have been the bottom of the barrel for nitro r/c but recently they had a change in management. Their new design team made the Matrix and Nemesis and they are quality products but everything else is still crap. Someone at our local track got the matrix and it is one of the best built buggies I've ever seen. My friend is actually racing with the matrix over his kyosho MP777 now. We went over the entire buggy and put it through its paces... the only problems are weak servos... we stripped the steering servo on the 2nd day driving it and the engine doesn't last long but it is a decent engine for the time is does have good pinch. Otherwise it is a bullet proof rolling chassis and has great handling with a little setting up for your driving style and track.

Also $1000 is easy to get to when building a kit. I got my Kyosho MP777 for $250, mach .26 $140, JR XS3 $180, two Futaba S3305 servos $40 each, Diff oil about $20 but probably more, shock oil about $15, Tires to fit the local track $60, starter box and 12v battery $80, reciver pack $30. That is a total of $855. Thats for decent equipment and I still have about 8 sets of tires and a new body and paint so that puts me over $1000. Oh yeah and thats not including a new wing with the body, racers edge shock towers, and center universal drives.
