myersflyers, I considered using struts, but am going with the stock wire gear..... primarily because of the good reports people have provided regarding the stock setup. If you go with longer main struts ..... then part of the former that is after/behind the nosewheel (when retracted) will have to be cut away....... (to allow for a longer nose strut).
Though I am using the stock wire setup ..... I am using regular/air brakes on the main wheels. Bob
Not to mention messing with making new ribs for the relocated wheel wells.
Make per the plans. Many of us have proven the stock setup is fine.
