I can't hover. So my response has absolutely no personal gain. I am in favor of extreme personal freedom so long as it doesn't impact anyone else. I fly at a field where one member consistently launches his son's plane into a torque roll. I was doing low speed approaches and had him launch right in front of my plane. While I think this activity is stupid, I defend his right to do it until he hits my plane. Then he owes me a completed plane or broken bones. I will take either but prefer the plane.
What ever happened to the old saying "If you can't afford to lose it, don't fly it."? Unless you were actually landing, and had called it, why he owe you anything?
Just curious, not trying to be a snot.
