I'd use carbon fiber rods but I can't bring myself to trust the plane to glue joints, wonder if there is a way to glue and add some other method of locking/pinning them for a guaranteed joint? Going out tomarrow and try the extra throw on spoilerons for harriers. It worked for the 60,hope it works on the .46 as I find it too touchy for my liking.
Well one thing to think about with the glue is that there is a lot of surface area of bond between the carbon fiber and the rod. I think something else will fail before the glue joint does. With me I would probably fail the balsa by hitting the ground. [X(]
Boy did I blow it yesterday! I got to go and fly yesterday and had a great time of it. Man that was fun. [8D] But I forgot to bid on an aluminum spinner on Ebay and the auction ended before I could get back to it. Plus the seller happened to live in the same town as me and emailed and said I could pick it up and save the shipping cost and even had some fuel that he said I could have for free.
