Default RE: New H9 Cub??

Aaaaahhh! We've got Cub!

The maiden was a tremendous success. The day was absolutely cloudless, mid 40's (F) with 5 to 15 wind straight down the runway. The wind fell off late in the afternoon to almost nothing.

This is one sweet airplane! The plane has no issues at all as far as flight PLUS, I experienced no ground handling issues other than it wanting to roll tail high at takeoff speed. I had no nose overs, it just looked like a dog lookin' for a fire hydrant. (It wasn't that bad, really.)

Flight was very easy. I could train with this plane easily. It also is NOT a super rudder dependant plane. Aileron and elevator (bank & yank) flyers need not worry about this one. It is a slow responding Cub as far as the ailerons go but, the tail is very responsive.

I have to admit, I got the "lazies" and never did take the cowl off. I put a short lenght of fuel line on the needle inlet and a fuel filter hanging out of the cowl to get to the fuel line to re-fuel it. The 46NT required no adjustment to the low end and a minor richening to the high end and ran flawlessly. That being said, I'm still going to put a 4 stroke on it. Cubs just ought to go "putt, putt, putt, putt" all day long.

Jimmy left before he got to fly it, where'd ya' go??

I'm happy!
