Problem solved - flew it off our tight site yesterday and landed great.

I increased the throw on the elevator to 18mm instead of the recommended 15mm - no hint of high speed tailplane stall

I increased the flap to 80 degrees which really helps it stick once its down.

Congratulations! It's nice to have someone report on the results of questions/discussions here on RCU. Too often guys ask questions, others take the time to provide thoughtful answers and suggestions and you never hear another word....bad manners in my opinion. You, on the other hand are a gentleman.
