Default RE: A-10 power package question

My A10 is all put together save for the servos, I just tested out the EDF units with a DualSky XPower 3S1P of 1,720 mAh 12C. There is definately more than enough for scale flying. When I am on 50% throttle you can feel the plane pulling (wings are not on so weight is less). On full throttle its pulling hard. I can see my curtains flying about ... hehehe ...

I am not using an ESC for lipoly batts ... just the standard ACE 30A ESC. As for the voltage you need to see how many cells it is (this is not to be confused with the number of cell count). Most batts are 2 cells or 3 cells. On 3 cells you can rest assure that if you fly hard the GWS motors will not last too long. If you want it to last a little longer take the motor out and run it in. Use a glass of water to run it in. Just use a 1.2V/1.5V battery to run the motor.

If you want to feel safer then buy the new GWS Li series ESCs, they are made to handle the slighty higher voltage of the 3S (11.1V) batteries.

Subaru - what is the difference in flying style? More power means less scale and more hot dogging?
