Grant,
An AP09 will swing a 7x3 at around 14,000rpm IF its a good one, the Norvel074 will swing the same prop at approx 16,000rpm and is much lighter. I have am AP09 it only makes 11,600rpm with the 7x3 a dissapointment, which I am led to beleive is not uncommon.
