Default AMA FLYING Sites

The AMA has stated several times that it is not interested in telling a club how it has to organize.

SNIP??.

Once the club's by-laws are received by the AMA, they will be reviewed by a legal staff. If there are problems, additional time will be given to the club to bring it's by-laws into compliance.

Really getting into these politics these days eh, JR?
"Not to tell you how, as long as you do it like I tell you."

That is the AMA all right! My Club did add dissolution to the By-Laws, but NOT to BFO AMA.
We wish to be an AMA Charter Club, however the Declaration of Independence is but a one sentence document.

My Club does not operate under a dictatorship just because it is a corporation. To each his own, and if one likes being dictated to then that is their choice. No such choice here.
Bootmarks on the back is a good sign of just who likes lying face down in the mud.

And Barney, tell those here about that other club that you belong to, where you seldom show up. I know that your friends are mostly where you fly, yet is it that you belong to this other club because as a renewing member you accumulate financial interest in this club with tangible assets?

This club is run by the elected officers subject to the membership and each member is -- if he so desires -- an equal player. This club has tangible assets such as 30 acres of prime flat land, 3800 square ft. of shelter over concrete, lights and electrics at each of some 12 stations with benches, kitchen with hot/cold running water, Indoor facilities, Transmitter Impound/Office area, protected concrete pad flying stations, smooth contoured grass 100 x 600' runway,(DF and Turbines have operated off this rw) speaker system, semi-hard parking area, highway road frontage, contracted mowing of facility and LEASEs TO hay farmer, 25 acres.
Oh yes there are some learned minds in this club and some interesting discussions do happen, yet things do get done for EACH clubmember's benefit.
The Club is dedicated to annual Fun Fly (AMA "A") Cash Classic WarBird Race, Anniversary Fly-In, and IMAA Big Bird. Others are sandwiched in.
Like in everything, I may NOT get my way, but IMO, having an opportunity to express my position before the group is definitely a PLUS. Kind of like YOU have here. Come to think of it if you like being told which hand to use for personal chores, then why the *hail* are you posting your thoughts here? Of course that is none of my business, I just let curosity get the better of me!!!
